چکیده

Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is a potential technology to build programmable wireless environment in future communication systems. In this paper, we consider multi-IRS-assisted multi-base station (multi-BS) multi-user millimeter wave (mmWave) downlink system, exploiting IRS extend mmWave signal coverage blind spots. Considering the impact of on user association multi-BS systems, formulate sum rate maximization problem by jointly optimizing passive beamforming at IRS, power allocation and association. This leads an intractable non-convex problem, for which tackle propose computationally affordable iterative algorithm, capitalizing alternating optimization, sequential fractional programming (SFP) forward-reverse auction (FRA). particular, optimized utilizing SFP method, solved through means standard convex optimization handled network based FRA algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that proposed algorithm can achieve significant performance gains, e.g., it provide up 147% higher compared with benchmark 116% energy efficiency amplify-and-forward relay.

Decoupling the uplink and downlink user association improves the throughput of heterogeneous networks (HetNets) and balances the traffic load of macro- and small- base stations. Recently, fiber-wireless HetNets (FiWi-HetNets) have been considered as viable solutions for access networks. To improve the accuracy of user association and resource allocation algorithms in FiWi-HetNets, the capacity ...

Joint optimization of pricing and capacity allocation for two competitive airlines under demand uncertainty

Nowadays, airline industries should overcome different barriers regarding the fierce competition and changing consumer behavior. Thus, they attempt to focus on joint decision making which enables them to set pricing and capacity allocation to maximize their profits. In this research, we develop a model to optimize pricing and capacity allocation in a duopoly of single-flight leg for two competi...
